First edition. An extensive bibliography of the Sung Dynasty 960-1279 . The introduction, which appears in both English and French, details the formation of this bibliography from Etienne Balazs' original conception in the 1950s to its realization at the end of the 1970s. The copious catalogue entries, either in English or French, are organized into five categories by subject Classics, Histories, Philosophers, Collections, and Collectanea . These main subjects are further subdivided into smaller categories, with entries grouped beneath the subheadings.
